Genshin Impact Version 6.3 Banners
The following article will discuss the Genshin Impact Version 6.3 update schedule and banners.
Note: These are based on speculation and are subject to change.
Genshin Impact’s version 6.3 (codenamed “Luna IV”) is slated to launch on January 14, 2026. The game will undergo maintenance at the following regional times: North America on Jan 13 from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM (UTC–5), Europe from Jan 14 12:00 AM to 5:00 AM (UTC+1), and Asia (including Taiwan/HK/Macau) from Jan 14 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM (UTC+8). As usual, the first new banner begins about a week after the patch. Phase 1 should kick off around Jan 21, 2026 (approximately three weeks into the update), and Phase 2 will follow in mid-February.
Version 6.3 New Character Banners
The character banners will spotlight the much-awaited Columbina (new 5★ Hydro Catalyst), Zibai (new 5★ Geo Sword), and Illuga (new 4★ Geo Polearm).
Columbina is a Hydro “sub-DPS” support who summons a moonlit ring that continuously applies Hydro and empowers Lunar reaction damage for the team. Her kit lets her generate a resource to trigger enhanced attacks when the team triggers any new “Lunar” reactions.

Zibai is a heavy Geo DPS character built around the new Lunar Crystallize reactions. Her skill and burst let her rapidly trigger Lunar-Crystallize, and most of her damage comes from these big crystallize hits, which scale off her DEF and Elemental Mastery.

Illuga is a Geo support who buffs Geo damage and Lunar-Crystallize reactions – his burst grants stacks of Nightingale’s Song that significantly boost Geo/reaction damage. He also provides crit stats and elemental mastery to Geo teams.
Version 6.3 Reruns
Version 6.3 will feature reruns of Neuvillette (5★ Hydro Catalyst) and Ineffa (5★ Electro Polearm).
Neuvillette is a top-tier Hydro main DPS, so his rerun is a bonus (along with a rumored new skin).
Ineffa is an off-field Electro sub-DPS (originally released in v4.x) whose shield and burst provide large EM buffs and trigger Lunar-Charged damage. She pairs well with Hydro supports to unleash powerful off-field Electro burst damage.
Notably, Illuga will still appear as a featured 4★ “banner” drop in both phase 1 and 2(meaning players can pull him from either banner).
Featured Weapon Banners
Each phase also brings two weapon banners. These include the new signature weapons for Columbina – Nocturne’s Curtain Call (5★ catalyst) and Zibai‘s Lightbearing Moonshard (5★ sword). These weapons are expected to complement Columbina and Zibai’s kits (e.g., Lunar Reaction damage and Lightbearing Moonshard boosts DEF).
Neuvillette and Ineffa’s signature weapons, namely Tome of the Eternal Flow (5★ catalyst) and Fractured Halo (5★ polearm)
These weapons are expected to complement Zibai’s and Ineffa’s kits
Overall, version 6.3 looks to be a high-impact patch for players who follow the Nod-Krai storylines. Mark your calendars for Jan 14 and prepare your resin/materials for Columbina (Hydro Catalyst) and Zibai (Geo Sword), as well as the return of Neuvillette and Ineffa. With these new Lunar-reaction characters and strong banners, Travelers should plan their pulls accordingly.
