Valorant new update 2024: Episode 8 ACT 1
Get ready for an exciting year in Valorant, with a new Battle Pass, agent, weapon, and map changes coming your way! Here’s a rundown of what you can expect in the Valorant new update, Episode 8:
New Battle Pass (January 10th):
Valorant new update “Episode 8” comes with an amazing battle pass getting a wide range of stickers, gun skins, and player cards.
- 3 Skin Lines:
- Fiber Optic: Classic, Marshall, Spectre, and Ghost variants (white and blue, resembles Ingrade bundle).
- Guardrail: Guardian, Frenzy, Shorty, and Vandal variants (matte black with gold trims).
- TactiPlay: Phantom, Odin, Bulldog, and Stinger variants (green and purple, resembles Blast X and Gecko).
- Melee: The Guardrail Hammer (similar to Neo Frontier Hammer animations).
- 15 Sprays: Some notable ones include Sage and Sky doing the Fusion Dance from Dragon Ball, Phoenix handing you a crown (Mario reference), Chamber running with money (iconic meme reference), Killjoy puking rainbows (meme reference), Sage eating (Chopper from One Piece reference).
- 12 Player Cards (with 1 bonus gold): Closeup of a skin line, animals in Gecko pattern, Cipher looking badass, new agent teaser, Gecko and his gang, Guardrail skin line, ISO, Omen with The Outlaw, Viper and Omen (Viper helping Omen with his ghost problems), musicians rising up a girl, Neon and Jett racing, Valorant critters dabbing.
New Weapon: The Outlaw (Sniper)
The gun for which almost every player was waiting is out in the Valorant new update. The Outlaw Sniper was first teased in October 2023. Here’s everything you need to know about Outlaw.
- Costs 2400 credits.
- Damage: 238 headshots, 140 body shot, 119 leg shot.
- Mag size: 2.
- Ammo reserve: 10.
- Equip time: 1.25 seconds.
- Fire rate: 2.75.
- Scope: One level (same as Marshall).
- Potential meta-changer for second-round buys.
Map Pool Changes:
- Haven is being removed.
- Icebox is being added back.
New Agent (Smoke Dancer, Episode 8 Act 2, March):
- A controller agent tease.
- The player card teaser suggests abilities related to moths, butterflies, or smoke vision/debuff.
- Release date: March 2024.
